KAA Show Carving Pickup
KAA Show Participants,
Thank you for participating in the KAA “Art Found in Wood” Show. Even though the Show was interrupted by unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances the Show was a great success. KAA feels this show was one of the best ever held at the Gallery. Everyone who attended the show was amazed at the quality of the art on display. All Capitol Woodcarvers members should be proud of the quality of every piece shown and the effort of members put forward to make this show happen.
Without a doubt, Capitol Woodcarvers achieved its mission of “Promoting Woodcarving”. Well done everyone!
Due to the unusual impact caused by COVID-19, KAA has implemented a unique carving pickup process. Carvings have been packed up in the containers left by carvers at drop off. Pickup has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 10am -6pm. The building is closed and locked so when arriving for pickup of your carvings please call or text Bob Curtis from the parking lot. Bob or another KAA representative will deliver your carving(s) to you in the parking lot. Please be patient with us during this process as we are getting old and will be “running” up and down the stairs all day.
If you are not able to attend pickup on the allocated day please arrange for another carver or someone else to retrieve your carving(s) on your behalf. If a carving is not picked up KAA will retain the carving on site and other arrangements will need to be made with Bob. It is projected that the Gallery will remain closed at least for May, and possibly June as well.
We regret having to follow this unprecedented procedure but we remain optimistic that curbside pickup will keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
Bob Curtis
