Empty Bowls Sale Event

Capitol Woodcarvers has been invited to further participate in the Empty Bowls project.

I was recently contacted by a representative of the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers. He informed me of their plans for the sale of the empty bowls made by members of the guild which is to be held on Saturday Nov. 21, 2020 at the State Fairgrounds in the ceramics area. All covid precautions will be in effect. Hours will be 9 AM to 5 PM.

He suggested that the capitol carvers might want to participate by manning a table displaying and selling the spoons we donated. It appears we will have the opportunity to demonstrate carving as well, a caving table will be supplied. The potters will be participating as well.

This is an opportunity for some of our members to come volunteer to man the table or demonstrate carving. Those wishing to participate may contact me, Denis Miller, denmil@comcast.net.
