Making The Best Of It

I was going stir crazy at home so I decided to make the best of the situation. I was missing carving sessions so headed off to find someplace where I could enjoy the fresh air, high sixties weather, nature, and do a little carving. I didn't want to get within six feet of anyone so I looked for somewhere somewhat isolated.

As luck would have it I found the perfect spot. There is a statue of a former governor in Riverfront Park and between the statue and the river is the old road that used to lead to the dock. This old road is overgrown and never used. It is like a little meadow on the bank of the river.

I set up my chair and started carving. I had a wonderful view of the fishing boats, ducks, and other creatures. At one point a couple of geese flew over within ten feet of my head, yes I was careful not to look up.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, I did get some carving done. I completed two pieces, a wood spirit and a whimsical house. It was a wonderful day carving at the park, and no one ever got to within 75 feet of me.

I hope everyone is doing alright. Stay sane and healthy.
