June Saturday Carving Session

It was another good carving session June 30. We had a good turnout and many projects were being worked on.

Great progress is being made by Cheryl, Mary, and Don with their peregrine falcons. The focus this session was on detailing feather groups and individual feathers. Power carving was demonstrated by Jerry and a discussion of burning feather details was well received and appreciated by those present.

Chuck had his almost completed pelican with him. This is a beautiful carving and if you get a chance you should have a closer look.

Jim Harris worked on an owl that is coming along beautifully. He is doing some sanding and completing details. Jim is a bird expert and many at the session call on Jim to help with laying out and completing feathers.

Please join us on July 28 at our next Saturday carving session. There is a $3.00 room rental fee charged by the Center 50+.
