Great Spoon

Reed Barker, our club treasurer, has been trying many different carving techniques and types of wood. He has tried bark, chip-carving, caricature, relief, decoys, wildfowl, and whatever other kind of carving he becomes aware of. Reed's carving skills have improved greatly over the past year or two and he is producing beautiful works of art.

Reed's most recent efforts have focused on spoons. He has mastered carving spoons to the point where he gave a demo at our club show this year. He will be a presenter at one of our upcoming meetings.

If you get a chance you should check out Reed's carvings. He is always willing to talk you through his process.

Great job Reed!
