We had a good turnout for our March meeting. Several new members were announced. It is always nice to hear that we are attracting new members. Please spread the word about our club.

Jim Harris had an excellent presentation about bird anatomy. We learned about feather groupings, relative size of body parts, eyes, and mounting of the carving. Very detailed handouts were provided. Thank you Jim for the great presentation.

We learned that Everett Koontz was publshed in the most recent Chip Chats magazine. His Mountain Man carving was featured. Of course because of this achievement Everett provided ice cream at the meeting.

Kathy Dalton conducted the Show and Tell portion of the meeting. Once again I am amazed at the quality of the works produced by our members. Not only do we get to see these wonderful pieces but attendees often are able to pick up hints for their own work from these examples.

Once again the treats were outstanding. Got to watch those calories but with goodies like these it is so tempting to go overboard. Thanks to Janice Besing, Dave Hunter, Denis Miller, and Everett Koontz.
